10 Days, 10 Friends, 10 Kits!!!

It's time to get excited!!!  Starting on National Scrapbooking Day (Sat. May1), we are launching a fun challenge for our Scrapbook Your Heart attendees to help us fill the last 10 spots!!

10 Days, 10 Friends, 10 Kits!!!

For each friend you refer to the retreat starting May 1 and going until May10, we will give you YOUR CHOICE OF A FREE MondayNightClass.ca kit at the retreat ($25 value)!!!

AND... we will wave the $20 late charges for your friends, but only for the next 10 days!!!

BUT... this is only for the next 10 spots!!!

Be sure to have your friends mention your name and this challenge when they register in order to WIN!!

Update - April 14, 2010

Good Day!

In about one month we will all be gathering for our amazing weekend retreat!!!  WE ARE EXCITED!!!

In today's update, we want to introduce you a bit better to Michelle Zemlak, our guest instructor!!

Michelle, originally from Red Deer, now residing in the cozy small town of 

Delburne AB. with her best friend and hubby John aka “the nicest man in 

Canada”, and her 4 fantabulous children and many furry friends who are all 

more often than not the inspiration behind her designs. 

  

Michelle is the owner & designer of a quaint scrapbook boutique  

The Hope Chest Scrapbook & Gift Co. where she is fortunate enough to be 

able to express her artistic abilities on a daily basis. Michelle has a passion 

for all things shabby and vintage! From her old character home, vintage style décor, to her scrapbook designs, its shabby & vintage all the way!  

Michelle is grateful to have found her creative outlet in scrapbooking which 

has enabled her to share her passion of “Living life creatively”  

with her family and others! 

We are very excited to have Michelle and her quaint store "The Hope Chest" join us this year!!

A few other assorted things to note:

• a few of you have asked about the bedding at Camp Caroline... you bring your own!!  The cabins all have bunk beds with mattresses, but you bring along your own pillow and bedding/sleeping bag!

• as part of a fun aspect for this year's retreat, we would like each of you bring a LITTLE gift under $5 value to do a gift exchange with another attendee!  We will give you more details at the retreat, but wanted to give you the opportunity to do this ahead of time (or if you run out of time, you can buy something at the retreat!  It can be scrapbooking related or not, but please keep it small and under $5 value!

• the camp has allowed us pick our menu for this year!!  So know that even THAT is going to be specially designed for you!! 

• if you think you've missed any of these emails or updates, know that we are also posting each one on our Scrapbook Your Heart BLOG at www.ScrapbookYourHeart.blogspot.com.

• Reminder that payment must be in the mail by tomorrow, April 15 or you need to add on an additional $20.  Cheques should be made payable to "Grace Baptist Church" and mailed to:

Update - April 8, 2010

The GBC Scrappers team is anxiously planning all sorts of amazing goodies for the upcoming Scrapbook Your Heart retreat on May 14-16, 2010!!  Here are a few important things to note!

• If you have not yet submitted payment, you must get it in the mail PRIOR to April 15!!  If you mail it past April 15, please add in an additional $20. After April 15, cabins may be reassigned (only 2 cabins left in Aspen lodge!)

• We have some super awesome projects based on our "Time for Everything" theme!!  We will give you specifics of what to bring along including some photos.  Meanwhile, know that we are excited to work with the following major sponsors for these projects:

• The Hope Chest
• Canadian Tire (got you curious???)

• Our special guest instructor is Michelle Zemlak!  She is a talented and oh so sweet local Albertan and we will introduce you to her in a future email, but know that we are super EXCITED to have her join us!

• There are also 3 optional classes that we will be offering.  Details will be revealed SOON!!

• We will again be doing a fun fundraiser for two great causes!  The "IF" project for women and the Campership aid.  More details on both will also be coming.

Okay... is that enough to get you excited???!!!  

Know that we are looking forward to a great weekend together!!  Our mission is to truly provide a "retreat" to relax, be encouraged, be pampered, be creative, be challenged, be inspired!!

PS.  Please tell your friends who still haven't registered to COME!!  If we sell out again, there will be an extra special sumthin' sumthin' for each of you :)  We still have about a dozen spots available.
